Surprisingly Many People Line Up For Lumia 800c in China

Untitled

Not as incredible as the launch event of Lumia 900 in the United State, but the queue outside this China Telecom Guangzhou branch was unexpected. That would a good news for Nokia, at least that says there’re still some Chinese folks are loyal to Nokia and not conceal by the charm of Apple’s iPhone.

The carrier offers a two-years/ two and a half years contract deals. With the two and a half years contract plan, the cheapest monthly payment is 49 RMB (around $8) per month and the machine itself will cost at 2,999 yuans (around $484). Well, it’s definitely cheaper than the CDMA iPhone 4S. Furthermore, an inside source said the China Unicom Lumia 800 will arrive at the end of this month and will be priced at 2,999 yuan or even lower. We also have some information about the other Lumia Phone that going to launch in China down below.

Nokia has promised to bring Lumia 610, Lumia 900 and Lumia 710 to China sometime this year at Lumia launch event. And actually, the Lumia 710 has surfaced on Nokia China official site already and will hit the market at 2,299 yuan (around $371). The Lumia 610 just receives the network access permit from China’s MIIT, hoping to see it lands in the country in May, the retail price should be about 1,299 yuan (around $210). But before the Lumia 610 enters in China in May, Nokia might brings the device to Hong Kong together with Lumia 900 by the end of April. In addition, it’s unlikely that either the Hong Kong version or the China version Lumia 610 to have NFC capabilities, albeit Nokia has just announced the Lumia 610 NFC. One last thing, the Lumia 900 is allegedly to go on sale in China toward the end of the 2nd quarter.

Great article! Very encouraging to see Nokia emerging into the smartphone era. Apple”s I-Phone is very overrated and hyped.
