Sheep-Deer Love Affair in Yunnan Zoo Married on Valentine’s Day (Video)

A male sheep and a female deer at the Yunnan Wild Animal Park in southwest China has been sanctified in a Valentine’s Day wedding ceremony. Although the two animals are belong to different species, the couple’s true love has broken boundaries and moved the zoo staff to the point where none wish to deny them the opportunity to get married. The love between the male sheep and female deer has drawn the attention on China internet since the relationship was discovered last November. The couple’s love is not only spiritual but also having sex every day even though they are not in their mating periods. During the wedding ceremony, the male sheep and female deer were treated to a wedding bath and a banquet of carrots and grass with other park animals and guests. The two eventually made their way through an “I Do Gate” constructed by the zoo staff to affirm their “love”.

The interspecies wedding has attracted many tourists and they have purchased souvenirs of the couple. Despite the feel-good nature of the story, some Chinese netizens think that the zoo is outrageous to hold such a wedding and making profit from the event, especially when the sheep and deer are making love during the ceremony.
