The official Shanghai Disneyland is scheduled to open in 2016, but there is already a Disneyland knockoff in China today. Called the Wonderland, it is situated on the outskirts of Beijing (45 minutes drive), and it was supposed ‘the largest amusement park in Asia’. Yup, it was supposed to be… however, the construction stopped more than a decade ago, due to land disputes and insufficient funds.
