We know Chinese hackers are able to crack hundreds of Gmail accounts, including those of U.S. officials. However, according to a report from Sky News, they’ve gained access to some of China’s growing number of hackers to discover just how big a risk they pose: A man they meet is 21, has no technical training and claims himself as “cyber security expert” – not a hacker.
Today, the global hub for targeted attacks is China, however, China has denied being behind an internet espionage network that has hacked into government computers around the world. Well, all we can say is China’s probably doing a lot more commercial hacking because they’re stealing industrial secrets as well as military ones (why buy, or develop, tech that you can steal?) Just look at the man here, he can easily take a few seconds to hack into an email account, and steal credit card details (it would be silly to keep credit card details in your email), and here’s what he said about his capability of hacking into more carefully guarded computer systems:
“Even the strongest security systems have holes,” he said. “Everyone knows that those people haven’t realised that there are hackers who can attack them. They probably think they have the best security possible.”
One thing we are sure of: the Chinese government has privileged access to these cyber security experts’ work.
