This is the third time that Meizu MX surfaced on the internet, and it is also the most detailed that we saw in comparison to the previous. We have more leaked shots of Meizu MX and more details of its specs after the break…

Leaked Shot No.1

This is the facade. The home button design is apparently changed, which no longer rectangular featured a rectangular button with its logo printed (Example: M8 and M9). It is very likely to be an optical trackpad according to the size and shape. In comparison to the previous leaked shot, it is simplified where the two touchpads located on the side of the home button went missing.

This is our first time to see the optical trackpad component in parts, which looks like quite tiny.

The back cover of Meizu MX is white and reflective, and we think it doesn’t look attractive. Other than that, there are two holes located on the back cover. The bigger one is definitely for the camera, and the smaller one should be made for flash light.

The shot indicated two slots, the power switch on top, and volume control buttons on the side. There’s also a headphone jack hided on the top left corner.

It is looking thinner than M8 and M9 and featured a curve edge design. We can see a tiny screw hole next to the headphone jack. We can safely assume this is not a protective case for Meizu MX.

At last, a shot captured the bottom part of the cover, indicated a micro-USB port.

Wrap-up

OK folks…Here is our thought. Meizu MX will look black at the front and white at the rear. No black edge will be seen from the side, as the rear cover looks like would embrace the front cover. There are people think the white cover is just a protective case for Meizu MX, but we don’t think so, because there are tiny screw holes. We don’t really like the shiny back cover, it looks shoddily made. We do think it looks slimmer than its predecessors. One thing we are quite sure, and that is the design home button. Meizu MX will change to an optical trackpad-like button instead, and this had already been suggested for several times since we spotted the first set of leaked shots back in November. Overall, the leaked shots are suggesting Meizu MX would turn out like the white version of iPhone 3G.

More rumors of the specs…

Apart from these information that indicated by the leaked shots, there are some updated rumors about the specs. Firstly, the front camera will shot photos at 1.3 megapixel and the rear camera will be at 8.2 mp (last rumor suggested it was only 8.0 mp). The battery is irremovable. The micro USB at the bottom of the device supports MHL. Through MHL, the microUSB port can be utilized to output 1080p video playback and recharge the device. Or maybe, you can plug your mouse and keyboard into the machine if you feel like it. That’s about it. Meizu will officially announce Meizu MX on the Dec 8th. We will see whether these are true…
