After the release of Android 4.0 source code, Shanzhai manufacture had further upgraded its Motorola Xoom Knockoff from Honeycomb to Ice Cream Sandwich. About a month ago, Motorola has confirmed the Xoom to get Android 4.0 sometime within six weeks. But apparently, the Chinese makers are very hard-working…
Hands-on Video
The specs packed inside doesn’t have much differ from Motorola Xoom. The whole thing is powered by Nvidia’s Tegra 2, meaning a dual-core 1GHz CPU and a decent whack of graphics performance. Complementing this is 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 capacitive display. Certainly there is 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, front and rear facing cameras, micro SD slot, mini-HDMI output and a 7000 mAh battery. And more importantly, it runs Ice Cream Sandwich!

Actually, you can tell the look of this Shanzhai tablet is not quite similar to Motorola Xoom. The edge obviously is not the same.

Unlike the last Motorola Xoom Knockoff, the back of it does not have the Motorola Logo. If you don’t look at its specs, you won’t even think this is a Motorola Xoom Knockoff…

We don’t think the price will turn out differently in comparison to the Honeycomb-powered Motorola Xoom Knockoff that we reported previously. By all means, it should be about 1,999 yuan ($314), and that’s attractive! Because the real one costs you a double of it. It is safe to assume there will be more Shanzhai tablets come with Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich. Maybe it would interesting to see a Kindle fire knockoff and priced even lower than $99.
