iSec (or previously eBox) had attracted our eye balls when we first spotted the console last year. At that time, we were pleased to hear finally there is a Chinese company planned to launch a motion-game console in China. As you should know by now, any types of game consoles are not allowed to sell in China, Lenovo is very likely to be the company which breakthrough the barricade of the gaming console’s market in China.
Among the global console’s market, the most prominent gadgets would be Microsoft’s Kinect with Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii. You probably have already own one of them at home. So how do you want the fourth choice to look like?

Like Lenovo’s eedoo iSec? As far as we know, it does motion game like what Kinect does and it is a “home entertainment center”. We could safely assume that would have more features and functions than a console. According to eedoo.cn introduced, the non-gaming part of iSec would feature things like HDTV, music, news, pictures, weathers, maps and probably online Karaoke. Lenovo in the recent announcement declared they are charging consumers $3000 RMB ($470) for the console, and that’s what makes us hesitate and probably you as well.
Physical Looking…
— Comes with Black, White and Red. If you prefer your console to look red, then iSec is your only choice.
— Slim and Simple Design.
Specs for iSec is still unknown yet.
Motion Games…
— At the moment, only Microsoft’s Kinect is doing the same thing. Surely, iSec will become the second console that does motion game in the market.
— Eedoo claimed its console used the most advance 3D human identification technology. Not sure how amazing it would be yet.
— iSec’s motion games are made by a team of 16 professionals, some used to work for Xbox 360 and Wii. Eight countries take part. Who cares? We just want to see how the final products look like.
— Here are preview of some iSec’s games:

— What do you think? Well, the quality doesn’t make us feel exciting.
Non-Gaming Feature…
— Like what we said above — TV, Photos, News, Music, Karaoke….
— Karaoke might be something killer as most Chinese really into it.
— Other than Karaoke, most of the features that have on iSec may also achieved on Xbox 360.
— Is that worth to purchase these non-gaming apps (if require) while you had already paid $470 for the console?
Price…
— $470 is too expensive for a un-tested console.
— $470 is sufficiently enough to buy a Playstation 3 or Wii or Xbox 360.
— So, we will wait and see what iSec is going to offer us. The question is why does it worth $470?
What to expect…
— Lower price obviously.
— Quality and unique games.
— Don’t turn out like a clone.
— User friendly. Suitable for every family members.
