2-Years-Old Girl Got Rolled Over By Vans, Ignored By 18 Bystanders (video) [UPDATE]

2-Years-Old Girl Got Rolled Over By Vans

Few days ago, an inhuman scene was recorded by a surveillance camera at the Guangfo Hardware Market in Huangqi in Foshan city, where a little girl got hit by two vans in 7 minutes without any helps from 18 bystanders who just walked across her body.

UPDATE: The girl has passed away.

The kind-heart garbage scavenger was interviewed by various media, recalled the scene where she found Yum Yuem on the floor, and she said:

When I saw Yum Yuem, I didn’t hesitate of getting any hassle, saving the little girl is the priority.

In the meanwhile, the first van’s driver contacted the media before turned himself to the police, and said:

“If she is dead, I may pay only about 20,000 yuan ($3,125). But if she is injured, it may cost me hundreds of thousands yuan.”

The latest news announced Yum Yuem had passed away in the hospital due to serious injury.

The incident had sparked tremendous disputes, most were angry with those 18 onlookers that didn’t give a helping hand but still remain a few thought those 18 bystanders did nothing wrong.

From the moment when the girl got hit by the first van, there were about 17 people went passed the girl until the second van came across and rolled over the little girl again. Eventually, there was finally a kind-heart garbage scavenger lifted her up, and at that time, the girl’s mother finally appeared in the scene and rushed to the hospital.

After all…

The little girl named Yue Yuem, she is currently in critical condition in hospital. The polices had already arrested the second driver but the first driver still in the wild. The police had handed over the surveillance camera’s playback to Yue Yuem’s parent to watch. Her parents in the video was pleading for any witnesses who can give them information that could help to find out the first driver.

The most miserable thing that we observed in this video was not the first van’s driver, but those 18 bystanders who just pretended nothing was seen and heard when they went passed Yue Yuem. Using avoiding hassle as an excuse is not good enough.

First I totally disagree with people who ignores a dying girl lying on the ground.
But there is reason for why people become so cold.
there are incidents in China, something like , a lad saw a girl hit by a car, and helped her to get to the hospital, then the girl sued the guy who helped her. court made final call , the guy had to compensate the girl for 100K. something like that, and , not only one, many of them , it is letting people become, not your business, don’t get involved. it’s not like Chinese are cold, we are different species, we are the same, we are sharing same emotions, this story is storming China, right now  . i think chinese authority have to change legislation , people who becomes to a hero, should get respect. I am so sad, when saw this news, and if I were there, i wish i was the first guy passing by. and I would help the little girl straight away.

So the rise of china is not only in industry field or technology, but also the rise of robotic human who is heartless, selfish and ‘how you will benefit me if I help you?’ kind of thinking. Be careful my Chinese friends, life is not beautiful if you only care about yourself and your family. Peace.

This is some seriously fucked up scenario. China needs to change its legislation so that bystanders and people who want to do good for society won’t be able to get punished, A.K.A. a good Samaritan act, which most western countries have.
