Beijing’s Fattest Kid Weighs As Much As 1000 iPhones

Touted as the “Fattest Kid in Beijing”, a 10-year old boy, Lele, once tried to ride a camel. However, his weight of 341 pounds (155kg) proved too much for the poor camel to bear and it could not get up.

This apparently upset the boy’s mother so much that she admitted Lele to a hospital for treatment. By using a combination of Chinese acupuncture, medicine and dietotherapy, doctors were successful in helping Lele lose almost 16 pounds (about 7kg) of weight within 10 days of admission.

Lele is undertaking a new health regime to help him lose weight

Lele is glad that he is losing weight

Lele is very cute

Addicted to potatoes, Lele had been gaining 33 pounds (15kg) every year since he was 6. At every meal, Lele consumed 3 bowls of steamed rice. If he does not eat the right quantity in one sitting, he makes up for it at the next meal, vomiting first then eating again when he is too full. Because of his weight, he had developed a dangerously fatty liver, bone and joint deformations and other health problems.

Lele is 160cm tall

Lele has excessive levels of fat in his body

Lele seems to be very happy with his progress

Asked what he wanted to do most after getting his weight under control, Lele said he wanted to become a chef, and he would like to play table tennis. He also told his mother that he will have another attempt to ride a camel. We wish Lele a quick recovery and hope he does accomplish his dream. Parents and parents-to-be, please be responsible and not ruin the lives of your children by letting them become like Lele or Little Hao, another obese little boy.
