Sporting similar good looks and running Android 2.3, the A7’s performance and user experience is on par with the Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 it is modeled after. However, instead of the proprietary connection port, the A7 provides rich connectivity with a set of standard ports that are way more practical: a mini-HDMI port, a mini USB port, a full-sized USB port, a 3.5mm Stereo headphone jack and a MicroSD slot for expanded storage up to 32GB. There are also front and rear cameras and support for video conferencing. Probably the only area where it loses out is that it only has 4GB of internal storage compared to the 16GB and 32GB capacities of the Galaxy Tab models. Battery life is also unknown as is the capacity of the included battery. More photos below.

The packaging box looks pretty cool with an Android robot logo printed on it. We like the way the knockoff makers call the device — mini Pad.

Woah, glossy and smooth pure white back panel — fingerprint magnet?

Standard connectivity ports!

Power button and volume controls.

Built-in Stereo speakers.

Front view; The screen is slightly off-center.

The front-facing camera. We’re guessing it’s 1.3 megapixel.

Rather familiar looking touch-sensitive controls.

We love that it comes with a beautiful leather case with the ubiquitous Android robot stamped in a corner. All this for the low, low price of 780 yuan (US$122)—Great value!! But we hope it comes with Honeycomb.
