iPhone 5 Will Support 21Mbps HSPA+ Network, Says China Unicom (video)

Finally, here’s one of the major reasons why you need to switch to an iPhone 5. Chinese carrier China Unicom claims that Apple’s iPhone 5 will run on suppafast HSPA+ 21Mbps network. Comparing to the current 7.2Mbps on the iPhone 4, that’s 3 times faster!!! Breeze past the break for the video showing China Unicom’s Deputy Director Huang Wenlian sharing this great news with everyone at Macworld Asia.

During the keynote, Wenlian said that the company has launched 21 Mbps HSDPA service back in May, and today, there are 26,000 3G stations in China. So, they are ready to bring the 21 Mbps HSDPA service to the new iPhone 5 or iPhone 4GS (this is what Wenlian said in the video). Well, if this is true, the iPhone 5’s internet speed will be 3 times faster. OMG.

One more thing, just in case you are curious about the MacWorld Asia, below is a video tour of the event.
