In the past few days, Huawei had been busy to announce their new products, which include the launch date for their Android 3.2 tablet and five new smartphones. And we decided to wrap them all up, enjoy!
1. Huawei MediaPad

In fact, Huawei introduced their MediaPad in Singapore’s CommunicAsia conference back in June, features Honeycomb 3.2 but the company noted it is essentially the same as 3.1. You can check out more info from our previous post — Huawei MediaPad Eyes-on! (with promo video).
And the latest news disclosed the device will first launch in Malaysia in mid-Sep, then to launch in Hong Kong at the end of Sep or possibly on sale at the start of Nov. Eventually to launch in China, Thailand and America before the end of the year. Huawei began accepting pre-order for MediaPad in Singapore already, priced at $3,700 HKD (about $529 USD).
2. Huawei Boulder

Boulder has the most prominent design among the remaining four, it is the only new Huawei smartphone that has a QWERTY keyboard and looks chubby. The machine packed a relatively low res (240 x 320) 2.6-inch touchscreen, 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7225, 256MB of RAM/512MB of ROM, a 3.2 megapixel rear camera, and runs Android 2.2.2 Froyo, priced at $1,680 HKD (around $240).
3. Huawei U9000 (X6)
The facade looks quite like Nokia N9, Huawei dubbed it as U9000, X6 is the previous name. Huawei U9000 has a best config out of the five and is also the most expensive model. It boosts a 4.1-inch touchscreen (800×480), 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255, 256MB RAM/ 2GB ROM, got a 0.3 mp camera in the front and a 5.0 mp rear camera with LED flash, Android 2.2.2 Froyo, priced at $2,980 HKD (around $426).
4. Huawei Gaga U8180 (IDEOS X1)
Gaga, specially made for Lady Gaga’s fans? As you can see from the image above, the phone is quite small. It revealed a 2.8-inch touchscreen which is slightly bigger touchscreen than Boulder but remain the same res, powered by a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227, 256MB of RAM/ 512MB of ROM, only acquired a rear camera in 3.2 mp, again runs Android 2.2.2 Froyo, tagged a price of $1,280 HKD (around $183). The config of Gaga is similar to Boulder, but Gaga is $400 HKD (around $57) cheaper than Boulder, and the difference in price probably is for the QWERTY keyboard on Boulder.
5. Huawei IDEOS X3
Huawei IDEOS X3 is worth to consider. Unlike the three above, it runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, hardware include a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227, 256MB of RAM/ 512MB of ROM, 3.2-inch touchscreen (320 x 480), 3.2 mp rear camera, built-in front camera, built-in G-sensor, and all wrap-up in a 104g body for $1,680 HKD (around $240). Although the specs of X3 is not as good as U9000, but X3 is about half-price of U9000. So if you are not demanding an high-end phone, then X3 is an ideal choice.
6. Huawei Sonic U8650
Finally, the last handset from Huawei. And this has nothing different from X3, the specs are identical except Sonic has a 3.5-inch touchscreen which is 0.3-inch bigger than X3, then there is really nothing that we should talk about.
