China Owns Leica Camera

In order to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China, Leica introduces its 24 carat gold-plated camera, which is to be sold exclusively in mainland China.
It sounds crazy for Leica to make cameras specially for China’s 60th Anniversary. The Golden Camera looks like a piece of gold, it’s engraved with Mao Zedong’s favorite slogan on the body. The lens really amazed me with its color too. It is known that only 60 sets are available and special serial number starts from the year 1949 to 2009. If you are rich enough, you can get one set for $199,900 RMB (about $29,284). [Schmidt Marketing]
