Is Apple Making a Dual-Camera 3D iPhone?

On the Chinese internet today, someone very interesting got our attention. Apparently,
someone got their hands on an iPhone 5 prototype! Doing our best, we have assembled our team and investigated as quickly as possible. What did we find out? Keep reading, and check out the front pic after the jump.

Our team of “Apple specialists” has spent many hours analyzing, double checking and going over the image. We have also been in touch with our good friends and sources (thanks guys ^^) trying to figure out what is going on.

First, just to clarify where this image is from, and what has been said about it, it is from an “anonymous OEM source” in Shenzhen. Lots of things were also said about the dual cameras and the “iPhone 5” signature symbol on the back. People are guessing if the next iPhone will support the capturing of 3D video with the dual cameras, while some are suspicious of the “5″ logo, since it is a different font.

The latest incarnation of the iPhone is rumored to have a new camera, but we can say without a doubt, this is a manipulated, and fake image. This sadly dear readers is a disappointment to us as well as you. We have verified with our sources, and the camera on the next iPhone is located in exactly the same spot on the iPhone 4, not in the centre as you see here.

Since these pictures are almost definitely fake, a Chinese netizen can’t wait to make fun of the pic, by adding more cameras to the back… LOL.

A 3D camera is most effective when the cameras are spaced eye-width apart. Having two cameras so close to each other will almost completely negate the 3D effect. Apple knows this, so it’s obvious this picture is a fake.

3d cameras are still out as are tv.s no need for in a stupid phone

BTW: you can take 3d images without a so called 3D camera ..you all know that right?
