China Denies To Cause Problem With Google Gmail

Google Hacking

Three days ago, Google made an officially accusation on China of interfering their Gmail email system, however it has been quickly rejected by the China’s ministry spokeswoman, who claimed Google had made an unacceptable accusation to blame on Chinese government.

Previously Google spokesman said, “Relating to Google there is no issue on our side. We have checked extensively. This is a government blockage carefully designed to look like the problem is with Gmail.” And the Chinese government predictably didn’t admit the act and saying “This is an unacceptable accusation”.

According to New York Times story says, all form of electronic communication has been crack down by the Chinese government since the trouble happened in the Middle East. Ideally, the Chinese government and authorities intend to stop “Jasmine Revolution” to spread.

Furthremore, an article posted by ComputerWorld noted the Chinese authorities shut down 130,000 illegal Internet cafes over the past six years. Surely, Chinese government is heavily concern with the internet access in China.

This is the second accusation that Google had made on China since last year, and last year incident caused tensions between China and the United States, eventually Google presence was reduced in the Chinese market.

So, who is going to win in this second-round of battle between Google and China? Well, Google lost badly last year, will Google lose even worse this year?

The only losers in this battle are the chinese people. Like the children of divorced parents that battle, the people of China are being denied what they deserve. It is very sad.

I think this is only the beginning of what we might see from the government. These actions represent only a fraction of the government’s ability to genuinely control the media. We can only hope that it will not continue…

    1. Baidu.com cannot even compare to google as far as being a good search engine. While searching using Baidu.com you get a lot of junk that you were not looking for. Baidu’s success is only because there is nothing else around that covers China websites as much and also doesn’t have the problem of blocked websites as found with Google in China.
    2. FREE VPN? I think Google should try offer free Virtual Private Network services instead of all of these little paid VPN companies popping up taking advantage of country blockage. Facebook, Twitter, Youtube are all blocked in China due to politics. But if someone really wants to use any of these websites, they can just get a VPN and use it. I would question if some of these VPN services are run by China govt people so that they can better monitor the people who are using these services. Why are a lot of these VPNs not blocked? The free VPN services seems to be blocked more than the paid ones and this could be that when paying for the service the user needs to enter in all their personal information.
    3. GMAIL IS BEING FILTERED. Gmail for sure is being filtered within China. If you use the services outside of China the speed is fast but within China is stalls (thus information is being filtered and examined by computers for key political words).
    4. CHROME BROWSER EVEN SLOWER OR DISCONNECTING. Try Chrome web browser. It’s a lot slower than all other browsers in China. I wonder why…
