Ya, we hear that. While we are looking forward to taste the insane speed of Verizon’s 4G LTE network in America someday, China’s homegrown 4G telecommunication technology is expected to go global and be widely adopted by 2015. Meanwhile, China Mobile is promoting the TD-LTE network, which can easily reach download speed of more than 150 megabytes per second, much faster than the 3G TD-SCDMA technology that is used by those tech geeks in China.
Apparently, China is trying to build up an advanced network like Verizon 4G LTE. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology had approved wide-ranging tests of TD-LTE technology in six major Chinese cities, including Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Xiamen. Moreover, China Mobile is also trying to drum up interest and support for TD-LTE outside of China. At least 15 trial networks have already been deployed in various countries and Poland’s mobile operator Aero2 has announced plans to build the world’s first commercial TD-LTE network as early as this year. So, we can see that China Mobile has quickened the pace of promoting 4G technology, will the company work with Apple to release the next iPhone?
